WASHINGTON, PA, June 5, 2024 — Shuffled to fourth after taking the early lead, Youmakemyheartsing found the Lightning Lane in time and captured Wednesday’s feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,000 Claiming Handicap.
Youmakemyheartsing shot to the point from post 7 for Mike Wilder, but as the field turned for home, he had no path outside. Wilder guided the 9-year-old Some Heart Throb-You Make Me Smile gelding to the winning route inside, and he poured through to score in 1:53. Kilowatt Kid N, who also lacked racing room, was second, 1/2 length back, with Roll With JR third.
Kevin Johnson trains Youmakemyheartsing, who now has banked $285,065 in his career, for Rocky Wingfield.
Shawn Johnston, Dave Palone, Ridge Warren, Ronnie Wrenn and trainer Dirk Simpson each enjoyed a double on the 13-race card.
