Hollywood Casino at the Meadows presented four Sires Stakes finals along with matching consolations with  1.4 million dollars in purses for the taking.

A quarter pole move back to the lead was all Odds on Outlier needed to handily take the 3-year-old colt pacer consolation.  Dexter Dunn guided the Sweet Lou gelding to a ¾’s in 1:24.4 before stepping home in 26.3 for trainer Melanie Wrenn for owner Odds on Racing.

Westwinds went from worst to first courtesy of a 26.2 final panel in the 3-year-old filly pacer consolation.  Trained by Noel Daley and driven by Andrew McCarthy for owners Milten Leeman, Stambaugh Keith Stable, Joe Sbrocco and Wingfield Brothers the win pushed the Captaintreacherous filly seasonal earnings to over $100,000.

Moni Maker winner Divine Thing with Todd McCarthy in the bike turned a two-hole trip into an 8-length romp in the filly trot consolation.  The 1:53 clocking in a lifetime best for the daughter of Greenshoe, who is owned by Jay Mossbarger, Brent Hopper and Kyle Groy and is trained by Steve Carter.

Sitting third till the ¾ pole, Elan Hanover and Todd McCarthy moved and powered home in 28.3 to take their consolation in 1:54.2.  Trained and co-owned by Jeff Cullipher with Pollack, the Bar Hopping colt was making only his third start of the season.

The 3-year-old colt pacers, the Glamour Boy division, saw the Ron Burke trainee Louprint  finish off a perfect record in the Sire Stakes action with a 1:48.4 lightning lane victory.  Stretched 26.2 to get the lead from post four, Ronnie Wrenn Jr quickly released the Adios winner Price Hal Hanover as the field headed to a 54.3 opening half.  From there Ronnie Wrenn Jr would watch and wait for the passing lane as Prince Hal Hanover handled the fractions as well as a first over Twisted Destiny.  A 26.4 last quarter sprint would give the Sweet Lou colt a neck victory over the pacesetter.  Louprint is now seven for seven on the year with earnings of $628,773 for owners and breeders Burke Racing Stable LLC, Weaver Bruscemi, Phillip Collura and Lawrence Karr.

Ranked #1 in the Hambletonian Society and Breeders Crown Polls, Miki and Minnie lived up to the hype taking her Sire Stakes Final.  Regular driver Dexter Dunn raced the Alway’s B Miki filly third through the

opening half before tipping first up as the field straightened out down the backside.  After a brief tuck behind the leader in the last turn, Dunn moved Miki and Minnie, and she captured the final with a 1:49.4 effort.  Trained by Chris Ryder, Miki and Minnie now has ten wins from eleven starts and $710,000 in earnings for owners and breeders Craig Henderson, Robert Mondillo and Lawrence Minowitz.

Fashion Green and Tim Tetrick grabbed the lead from post 8 and dominated the 3-year-old colt trot final in 1:52.2.  Unchallenged throughout the mile, the Greenshoe gelding and Tetrick got their own fractions and

finished up with a 27.1 final panel to seal the victory.  Owned and bred by Fashion Farms LLC, Fashion Green on the season now has five wins and an excess of $300,000 for trainer Jim Campbell.

Highlandstarburst and Yannick Gingras waited until the head of the lane before vacating the pocket and winning the 3yr od filly trot final in 1:53.3.  Leaving from post five, Gingras worked the Nancy Takter trainee to the lead past the opening quarter but would give way on the retake by Hangover.  The pair would track the front runner and used a 28.4 last quarter for the two-length victory. Thoroughbred Farm of Ontario owns the Father Patrick who now has three wins from eight starts this season and lifetime earnings now over $200,000.

For the day Dave Palone, Todd McCarthy and Dexter Dunn each had two victories and Steve Carter’s two training wins gave him top honors on the race card.
