A sunny Saturday afternoon (August 30) was the scene at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows as sophomore pacers were highlighted with two quality divisions of the Tarport Effrat and three Stallion Series contests.
North American Cup winner Louprint made his first pari mutuel start since winning the Canadian classic and his return did not disappoint. and would use a 26.3 to take control of the race and cruise to a 1:49.3 win with a 26.3 last quarter. Trained by Ron Burke for owners Burke Racing Stable LLC, Weaver Bruscemi, Phillip Collura and Lawrence Karr, the victory keeps Louprint perfect on the season as well as pushing his 2025 earnings past the half million-dollar mark.
Adios winner Prince Hal Hanover and Todd McCarthy made a triumphant return to The Meadows with a wire to wire 1:50.2 effort in their $59,232 Tarport Effrat division. From post two McCarthy used an opening 27.1 opening quarter to secure his spot on the lead, a 56.2 middle half followed that set a 26.3 sprint to the wire

a half-length better Twisted Destiny. the victory by the son of Captaintreacherous pushed his seasonal earnings to over $600,000. Trained by Dr Ian Moore, Prince Hal Hanover is owned in Ontario by the Prince Hal Hanover Stable.
Trainer Brett Pelling took home two Stallion Series trophies as Beach Club Monty and Sugar Man each found their way to the winners circle.
Beach Club Monty’s long overland victory gave Pelling his first winner on the day. Sitting fourth through quick opening fractions, Todd McCarthy worked themselves up to the lead at the head of the stretch and hold off Waffle Blue Chip for the neck, 1:51.2 win. South Merrick Stables and Andrew Berg own the son Papi Rob Hanover who now has two Stallion Series victories to his credit this season.
Pelling’s second training win of the day gave Jack Pelling his first win of the day behind Sugar Man. Sugar Man and Pelling worked out a second over trip to the head of the lane and would kick home 27.2 to take the fastest Stallion Series of the day in 1:50.2. Owned in partnership by David McDuffie, Melvin Hartman and Rojan Stables, the victory gives the Papi Rob Hanover son two wins in Stallion Series action this season.
Aaron Merriman put World Of Wishes right in the two behind pacesetter No Trespassing and then just waited for the Lightning Lane to score the 14-1 Stallion Series upset. The Bettors Wish gelding, owned by Philip Steinberg and trained Chris Ryder used a 27.3 final panel for his fifth win of the season in a lifetime best effort 1:50.4.
